Last night I saw Pearl Jam and it was amazing. Pictures later.

Today I gave blood and it was also pretty awesome. Pictures of my arm with iodine and gauze on it later.

Also not sure what the next two days hold for me. Looks like a lot of nothing is happening at home so I might head to NYC again. Decision in like 10 minutes!

Oh, also, bathroom is fixed! Well, the hot water is, anyway. Fan is still busted.

A few of you may have noticed my recent spree of commenting on LJ talking about electric cars or solar collectors or whatnot as seemingly random replies to posts that have little or nothing to do with said cars or sun energy. Clearly, I have become one of those alternative-energy-treehugger-fags that Ann Coulter warned you about.

This is partially because a coworker of mine got me hooked on EcoGeek, a blog updated several times daily with various technological developments regarding alternative energy sources (mostly solar but there's plenty for wind, hydrogen, and others) and their advances and declines.

I'm pretty much hooked, as there's not many sites I feel comfortable with viewing at work, where our network activity is monitored more heavily than an ominously ticking bag at a flight terminal. It's also fascinating stuff, ranging from advances in hybrid vehicles to benefits of mass transit to eco-beer... yes, environment-friendly booze.

Of course, as is sadly the case with a lot of sites these days, feel free to skip the comments, as they are rarely insightful and typically full of cynical wannabe-philosopher blowhards who get their kicks by not looking at possibilities, but rather at every theoretical flaw, no matter how minor. But other than that, highly recommended A+++++ will buy again.

As much as I enjoy 80s music, I have very little of it that isn't Bon Jovi or David Bowie. Or The Police.

Soooo... anyone suggest anything from that decade? Hair bands are sort of a guilty pleasure of mine, but anything from that era will do.

I haven't been paying much attention to the Less Than Jake tour until today when I decided to go look up the info for the philly show.

Or... as it turns out, philly shows.

There's one in Jersey out in Asbury Park, then the next day they have an all-day festival style show at Festival Pier in Philly. That one also involves Dropkick Murphys.

Fucking LESS THAN JAKE and DROPKICK MURPHYS! At the SAME TIME! In the SAME PLACE! In MY AWFUL CITY! Dude! This is the greatest thing ever to happen here since that Ben Franklin guy did all that stuff!

Man, there's no way in hell I'd ever miss this. I am so there. What day is it? June 29th OH WAIT THAT'S DURING ANTHROCON WHICH I AM ALREADY COMMITTED TO.

On the bright side, now I don't have to go watch Goldfinger and think of ways to throw meat at them. ;_;

Sometime in the last few minutes LJ added a Random Journal button right next to the Friends List button for easier access than wherever it was before. So, I did some stats... and in the first 25 clicks:

10 were in russian...
...one of which was australian too?
2 suffered from colors so bad they made my eye ache.
2 were pseudo-intellectual.
1 was nothing but pages and pages of WoW screenshots.
1 was nothing but emo "one day maybe I will like being alone -_-" type posts.
4 were filled with nothing but retarded quizzes and picture memes.
1 had no visible posts at all, and userinfo reports 0 posts.
1 was... uh... seemingly some kind of political futurepost nonsense.

Over the last few days:

Thursday I watched the season finale of Lost... in a MOVIE THEATER. with BEER. and PRESTON AND STEVE. It was fucking awesome. DF stole a big poster and I snagged a bunch of temporary tattoos and some peanuts with Oceanic Airlines stickers on them. Also, boarding passes. Good stuff.

Friday I got a major headache a few hours into the day and went home, slept for like 7 hours, then woke up and hung out with icefox (chicken_hat) because he came over and brought huge vodka. I didn't drink due to earlier headache condition but it was cool. Also I made that thing I posted.

Saturday I drove to Long Island on a whim to go to a meet for the My Fursona site (hay here's mine), which ended up being really friggin awesome and worth the drive. Went to a porn store for the first time, which was awkward but fun. Also ran into nekonaru_letao at the mall which was funny because he works there. Crazy!

Sunday I worked then went home and did nothing, so everything is back to normal!

When I woke up this morning I did not think I'd be getting teeth pulled today. Surprise!!!

The upside is that this time, unlike when I got my wisdom teeth out, I negotiated painkillers beforehand. I think the Vicodin is kicking in about now. So, it's not too bad, I guess.

Other than that, playin' Uno, gonna eat some mashed potatoes and ice cream in a bit, hopefully have laundry done before Lost starts. Gonna keep stuff on the cheap for a few days.

Oh, found out today for certain that I did not get my requested PTO for Anthrocon, but I think I got the weekend off, so I'll drive up Friday night and maybe stay until Monday, depending. The upside is I don't have to burn ANY hours of PTO. Schweet.

I got a 360. I would be lying if I said that my primary motivator wasn't online Uno.

ED: oh, as far as games go, I have Blue Dragon and Shadowrun. I also have Sneak King and Big Bumpin if the BK games count, which they should.

For the past 11 months, I have smoked twice: December 29th '07 and March 1st '08.
So yeah, today is 'everybody has fun gettin high' day, and I'm cool with that, but right now I'm feeling pretty good about not doing it. :P

It is becoming more and more obvious that I really only have enough time in my life for a certain number of people, as my time is too valuable to spread so thin amongst so many of you. Also my friends page is far too cluttered with stupid april fools jokes and lame memes.

I also recently noticed one of the more recent memes, which is actually kind of fun... and I'm putting the idea behind that meme, plus my need to get rid of the people who don't read this journal every second of the day, into one single idea.
